Mid and Far Western Nepal

Mid western and Far western part of Nepal are listed in the beautiful place of the earth.However, due to remoteness and poor accessibility these places are not explored well. Those travelers who made their visit to these places are astonished by its beauty and elegance. Many beautiful destinations are present within this two region, among them Rara National Park and Khaptad National Park are two important protected sites. Rara National park is the smallest Park of Nepal, containing the biggest lake of Nepal (10.8 sq. kms) and scenically the most beautiful lake at an elevation of 2999m. Khaptad National Park is located in the far western region of Nepal and covers an area of 225 sq. km. The park offers a challenging yet rewarding experience unlike any other protected area in Nepal- because of its remoteness the area has been largely untouched by tourists. The national park is well known for its religious value as well as its natural beauty. A very famous saint once meditated in this park for decades and a temple is built in the park which is dedicated to him. This park houses many endangered animals and is home of different species of birds.
